Claire Coates

CHARTERED FINANCIAL PLANNER

I’m Claire and I’ve been working as a Financial Planner at Wades for over 10 years and have been in the Financial Services Industry for over 25 years. I qualified as a Financial Adviser in 2006 which is when I started working for Wades and I have since continued with my studies to become a Chartered Financial Planner and was elected a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society in December 2012.

I am very proud to say that I was awarded the Maddocks Prize in November 2013 in recognition of my outstanding academic performance in the completion of the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.

I really enjoy my work because I enjoy meeting new people and talking about their plans and aspirations for the future. I enjoy helping clients to achieve their goals, whether it be buying their first home, retiring early or providing for family…. there are so many important decisions to make and that’s where our expertise can help to design a strategy tailored for clients changing needs and circumstances to keep them on track.

I also pride myself on being able to communicate in a way that makes it easy for clients to understand and make them feel at ease and be confident about their future. I feel it is important to have a good work/life balance and I aim to help my clients achieve this through sound financial planning.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the countryside as I live in a lovely rural area of Northumberland. I love to go for walks with my black Labrador dogs (who also enjoy the freedom of the countryside) and they love to jump in the river on a hot summer’s day.
