The region in bloom, with NGS and Wade Financial

We may have endured a wet and windy February in the North East, but Spring is just around the corner. After a damp start to the year, what better way to see the region in bloom than with the National Gardens Scheme?
Wade Financial are delighted to be sponsoring the NGS in the North East. We look forward to helping the Scheme raise significant sums for its many beneficiaries, including Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer and Help the Hospices, to name but a few – and are equally as keen to sample the delights of the North East’s finest florid gardens.
The NGS has made private gardens available for the public’s viewing pleasure since 1927, working with the National Trust to preserve and restore the nation’s most significant sites. Approximately 750,000 people across England and Wales visit the Scheme’s gardens every year, enjoying the beautiful surroundings in exchange for a small donation – all of which goes towards the preservation of gardens, or one of the NGS’ many charity funds.
Wade’s Managing Director Stephen Conway is particularly thrilled that the NGS County team afforded our company the opportunity to assist such a worthwhile cause. “We are excited by this fantastic organisation that has given more than £26m to nursing, caring and gardening charities over the last 15 years. It is a privilege to support such a successful and well respected charity.”
The season opens on the 6th of April at West House, with a programme that persists throughout the summer months. The full list of opening dates can be found below:
Here at Wades, we cannot wait until the winter rolls away, allowing us to frequent as many garden openings as possible. We hope to see you out there amongst the region’s own little pockets of Eden.
