Pay for a Day at Marie Curie Hospice, Newcastle

Four members of the Wade Financial team are volunteering at the Marie Curie Hospice in Newcastle to raise awareness for their Pay for a Day campaign.
The terminal illness charity is encouraging businesses and generous supporters to raise enough funds to run the hospice for an entire day. That target is £6,584 – and Wade Financial are looking to raise that amount in the coming months.
“Almost all of us know somebody who has been touched by cancer or a terminal illness,” says Ian Little, a recent addition to the hospice’s development board. “If all of the contacts on our mailing lists contributed just £3 each, we would have enough to provide expert care and comforting support to those who need it for one entire day.”
In addition to volunteering and fundraising at the hospice, Wade Financial will also host a fundraising Sportsman’s Dinner later this year, with the proceeds going to Marie Curie and another local beneficiary, Northern League outfit West Allotment Celtic.
“Building strong relationships is a significant part of our ethos as financial advisers, but that extends beyond our clients,” Ian explains. “We want to put back into the community, both as a company and as individuals. We hope our clients and our contacts will join us in supporting these causes – not least the Marie Curie Hospice in Newcastle.”
