Method in the Madness: Linskill Theatre’s latest production

Eighties pop idols Madness have inspired Linskill Community Theatre group to perform their own production of the smash hit musical Our House.
Following on from their amazing production of Grease last year, Linskill Community Theatre had no problem in securing sponsorship from Wade Financial to launch the production this coming June.
Ian Little was eager to get behind one of the proactive centres of the North Tyneside community. “We jumped at the chance to support this talented group to perform such an exciting production. We have taken away some of the financial worries for the production team, which means they can concentrate on making this show the best they’ve ever done!”
The financial planner was particularly impressed with the impact that the group has had on the lives of its members. “This is a hard-working group, run by amazing, dedicated volunteers from all walks of life. Group members who have a professional theatre background are constantly using drama to help local people in our community to develop life skills and confidence.”
One such person is Iain Veitch, just one of many members to have been totally transformed by joining the Linskill group. “Before I joined the group, I didn’t even have the confidence to leave the house,” he admitted. “It has turned my life around, and I’ve even played lead roles in some of their main productions. I have more confidence than ever before.”
Bursting with the band’s greatest hits and performed by an enthusiastic cast, Our House will be performed on Friday 20th June at 7pm, with two shows on Saturday 21st June at 12.30pm and 7pm respectively, before closing the production with a 12.30pm showing on Sunday 22nd June.
Tickets cost just £4 per person, so why not come and join the group at the house of fun – otherwise known as the Linskill Centre in North Shields – for a truly fantastic show.
